Perks Place
Founded in 1977 by local soul-singing recording artist Billy “The Human Perkulator” Harner, Perk’s Place has become a Westmont institution and a neighborhood mainstain. Perk always ran his shop on the principle that there is no such thing as a 15- minute haircut. Driven daily by that credo, he built the Perk’s Place reputation by providing truly personalized service — one customer at a time.
When his daughter Debi joined him in the early ’80s Perk’s Place became a family business. Debi added women’s salon services, which evolved Perk’s into a full-service barber and styling shop.
Today, Perk is retired and Debi owns the shop. She continues her father’s traditions and has added a few of her own. Still an active stylist herself, Debi has built a solid team of amazing experts who all work together to deliver top-tier friendly, personalized customer care and services that must be nothing short of perfect since Perk’s pristine reputation must be upheld every day.
